MACON, GEORGIA — July 9, 2025 — Christy Crowe Childers, founding partner of Childers & McCain, has been appointed by the President of the State Bar of Georgia to serve a two-year term on the State Bar’s Formal Advisory Opinion Board.

The Formal Advisory Opinion Board plays a vital role in interpreting and clarifying the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct, offering formal guidance to attorneys and the courts on complex ethical questions. “I’m honored to serve on the Formal Advisory Opinion Board and to help uphold the ethical standards that define our profession,” said Childers. “The work of this board not only supports lawyers across Georgia—it safeguards the public’s trust in our legal system.”

Childers is widely recognized for her advocacy in high-stakes injury cases, her innovative damages model known as the Damages House, and her commitment to mentoring women trial lawyers across the country.

Her term on the board begins this month and will continue through 2027.
