Childers & McCain, LLC is pleased to invite high school students interested in the practice of law to apply to its 2023 Junior Internship Program. The program is offered to 9th and 10th grade students, and will take place from July 18 to 21, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The two to five applicants selected for the 2023 Junior Internship Program will experience what it is like to work at a law firm alongside our attorneys. They will learn the importance of confidentiality as they interact with clients, and develop skills for working in a professional environment.
As available, the highschoolers may attend litigation events, such as depositions, hearings, and trials. Students will also have the opportunity to meet judges and other legal professionals to discuss their careers. They will also have the chance to gain hands-on experience through documenting evidence at the scene of an accident and researching the facts of a client’s case.
Additionally, Childers & McCain, LLC is offering selected students a $200 scholarship and a resume listing their legal experiences from the week to help them get started on their careers.
