A major weekend crash on I-285 West in Clayton County resulted in one death and eight others injured. The Clayton County Police report that the accident occurred near Exit 58 under Loop Bridge Road when a white SUV rear-ended a tractor-trailer, killing the SUV driver and causing a five-car pile-up.
Following the accident, the Georgia Department of Transportation closed three interstate traffic lanes for several hours to clear the roadway of the disabled tractor-trailer and other vehicles.
