Christy brings tremendous passion to the commitments in all areas of her life, which makes her a top-rated legal advocate. Unparalleled experience sets Christy apart from other attorneys, and she has helped her clients win high financial awards against negligent trucking companies and huge corporations. While Christy focuses on helping people who have been harmed by trucking companies and large corporations, she routinely consults with other attorneys across the country. Christy serves as trial counsel in a wide range of personal injury matters. In 2024, Christy received the National Board Of Trial Advocacy Presidents Award for being one of the biggest advocates for people, especially women to get certified by NBTA in Truck Accident Law.
Christy is dedicated to joining forces with other women who practice truck accident and trucking industry law. She founded the Middle Georgia Chapter of GAWL, which became the largest in the State of Georgia in its first year. Christy also served as Trial Practice Manual Editor for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) and launched the Legal Internship Scholarship Program for high school students. The teenagers leave with invaluable experience and connections, a college-ready resume, and a scholarship. Christy strives to set an example and hopes that other attorneys will replicate her program so that youth in rural parts of Georgia are exposed to opportunities she once never imagined existed.
In 2021, Christy obtained nearly $8 million for the life of a severely developmentally disabled adult by using the writer’s mental model she developed for trial lawyers.
In 2022, Christy organized the first ATAA Mother Truckers Rally in Montana, where women trucking attorneys from all over the country drove tractor-trailers, shared strategy, went fly fishing, and learned from vocal, acting, and career coaches. Christy has organized a second Mother Truckers Rally in Alaska for June 2023, where she will teach classes in a yurt, enjoy heli-mushing, landing on glaciers, and driving tractor-trailers with other women trucking lawyers at the Alaska Driving Academy. Christy enjoys fishing, gardening, and traveling with her family and friends. She lives in Macon, Georgia with her husband Matt, their two children, Maggie the Great Pyrenees puppy, and an old dog named Hank.
