Christy Crowe Childers, Esq., is a personal injury lawyer and nationally recognized authority on truck accident law. She is routinely consulted by attorneys across the country. Christy is the first woman in Georgia—and one of the first women nationwide—to become Board Certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA).
In 2024, she was honored with the NBTA President’s Award for her dedication to the field, her commitment to championing women lawyers, and her well-known advocacy for the injured. Christy’s deep knowledge of the trucking industry and her extensive litigation experience have earned her a reputation for taking on major national trucking companies and corporations. With 20 years of experience, she has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for her clients.
A trailblazer committed to empowering women lawyers, Christy founded the Middle Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, growing it into the state’s largest chapter in its inaugural year. In 2022, she also founded the first annual Mother Truckers Rally, a hands-on training conference where women truck accident attorneys from across the country gain experience operating and maintaining tractor-trailers and receive voice and acting training to better represent their clients.
Christy is frequently invited to speak at seminars, conferences, and legal training events, where she is known for presenting innovative and effective litigation strategies. She also writes extensively on personal injury law, trucking litigation, and maximizing damages in civil cases.
Her leadership roles include serving on the Board of Regents and as Education Chair of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA). She is a past president of the Macon Bar Association and holds memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the Georgia Bar Association, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Christy has also served as Trial Practice Manual Editor for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and launched a Legal Internship Scholarship Program for high school students. She holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, has earned the Avvo Client’s Choice Award, and has been named to the Super Lawyers list each year since 2023, following her selection to the Rising Stars list from 2016 to 2020.
